Autumn-inspired spiked shooters with fresh apples and butternut schnapps, ready in just one hour.
Ingredients:
  • 4 medium tart apples, chopped (about 4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch schnapps
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Oatmeal Cookie Mix
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon butterscotch schnapps
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Caramel topping, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease the bottom of an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray. Combine apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup schnapps in a large bowl. Spread mixture evenly in the pan.
  • Combine the melted butter and cookie mix in a medium bowl, then spread it on top of the apples.
  • Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown.
  • In a cool mixing bowl, whip together whipping cream, 1 tablespoon schnapps, and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  • To plate, layer warm apple crisp and creamy mixture in small glasses, topping with caramel before serving promptly.
