Sip on this cozy caramel apple cider cocktail infused with spiced rum and a decadent caramel twist. Ideal for crisp autumn nights.
Ingredients:
  • 8 cups apple cider
  • 6 tablespoons caramel ice cream topping, divided
  • 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 1.5 cups spiced rum
  • 8 cinnamon sticks
Instructions:
  • Combine apple cider and 4 tablespoons of caramel ice cream topping in a 4-quart slow cooker until well blended. Cook covered on Low for 3 to 4 hours or on High for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Combine sugar, salt, and apple pie spice in a petite shallow bowl. Drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of caramel topping into a dainty saucer.
  • First, elegantly coat the rims of 8 mugs or heatproof glasses with caramel topping and then dip them into a spice mixture. Fill each mug with hot cider, add 3 tablespoons of spiced rum to each, and decorate with a cinnamon stick for a charming finishing touch.
