Elevate vegetarian pizza with the bold flavor of cumin seeds.
Ingredients:
  • 500g pizza dough mix
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 brown onions, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch English spinach, trimmed, washed
  • 250.00 ml chopped fresh continental parsley
  • 120g Swiss cheese, coarsely grated
  • Fresh continental parsley leaves, to serve
  • Dried chilli flakes, to serve
Instructions:
  • Follow the packet directions to prepare the pizza dough. Knead the cumin into the dough on a lightly floured surface until well mixed.
  • Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over high heat, and sauté the onion until golden, about 5 minutes. Add spinach and cook until wilted, about 3 minutes. Drain the mixture in a sieve, pressing out excess moisture with a wooden spoon. Transfer to a bowl and let it cool. Mix in eggs, chopped parsley, and season to taste. Enjoy!
  • Preheat the oven to 230C/210C fan forced. Divide the dough into 4 pieces and use a rolling pin to roll each piece into a 14 x 20cm oval shape. Transfer each piece to a baking tray and crimp the edges gently. Spread one-quarter of the spinach mixture and cheese on each piece of dough. Bake on the middle shelf of the oven for 25 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle with parsley leaves and chili flakes before serving.
