Delicious and quick spinach Milanese side dish ready in 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 lb fresh spinach, stems removed
  • 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
  • In a 4-quart Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic in the butter for about 5 minutes until golden, stirring frequently. Add pine nuts, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  • Lower the heat to a gentle simmer before gently adding the spinach, then sprinkle it with a bit of water. Cover and cook for approximately 5 minutes until the spinach is just wilted. Serve right away.
