Crispy bite-sized steak pieces in a golden batter.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound round steak
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour for coating
Instructions:
  • Tenderize the steak by pounding it with a mallet, then cut it into 3-inch long strips.
  • Whisk together egg, milk, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish until fully blended.
  • Warm up a generous amount of oil in a large skillet over medium heat, ensuring the bottom of the pan is completely covered.
  • Dredge steak pieces in flour, ensuring to shake off any excess. Dip the floured steak in the egg mixture and again in flour.
  • Fry the strips in hot oil until they turn golden brown, approximately 2 minutes. Place them on a paper towel-lined plate to soak up any excess oil.
