Achieve perfect steak in record time by flipping every 30 seconds - for quick, mouth-watering results that cook 30% faster.
Ingredients:
  • 1 beef sirloin steak, at room temperature
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons high-heat cooking oil, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Heat up a heavy cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Use paper towels to pat the steak dry on both sides, then generously season with salt on both sides.
  • Sear the steak in the hot skillet, flipping every 30 seconds until desired doneness.
  • Take out the steak from the pan once a brown crust has formed, the steak is starting to firm up, and it is hot and slightly pink in the center, which should take about 3 to 4 minutes of cooking time for a 1-inch steak. Check doneness with an instant-read thermometer: 125°F (52°C) for rare, 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 145°F (65°C) for medium, or 160°F (70°C) for well-done.
  • Wrap the steak snugly in a double layer of aluminum foil and let it rest in a cozy spot for 5 minutes.
