Steamed chicken dumplings

Whip up delicious Asian steamed chicken dumplings to kick off your feast.
Ingredients:
  • 250g Chicken Mince
  • 2cm piece ginger, peeled, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Chinese rice wine
  • 20.00 ml finely chopped fresh chives
  • 125.00 ml finely shredded wombok (Chinese cabbage)
  • 20 gow gee pastry wrappers
  • Chilli sauce or soy sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • With your hands, mix together the mince, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, rice wine, chives, and cabbage in a bowl.
  • Place 2 generous spoonfuls of mince mixture on one half of each wrapper. Dampen the edge with cold water, fold over to seal, and pleat the edges together securely. Arrange dumplings on a baking paper-lined tray.
  • Steam dumplings in batches for 4 to 5 minutes until cooked through. Transfer to a plate, cover to keep warm, and serve with chili sauce or soy sauce.
