Whip up a delicious Chinese barbecue lamb the whole family will love!
Ingredients:
  • 95g hoisin sauce
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Chinese five spice
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 20.00 ml ginger, finely grated
  • 2.6kg Lamb Whole Leg Roast
  • 2 brown onions, quartered
  • 125.00 ml coriander sprigs
  • Steamed Chinese broccoli, to serve
  • Sliced red chilli, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your barbecue on medium heat with the lid on, or preheat your oven to 200C.
  • Mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, Chinese five spice, garlic, ginger, and 2 tablespoons of water in a jug. Score lamb every 1cm. Massage half of the mixture onto the lamb. Place onion in a disposable baking dish. Put the lamb on top of the onion. Cover with foil and bake in a covered barbecue with indirect heat, or in the oven, for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Baste with the remaining hoisin mixture every 15 mins for the last hour until medium or cooked to your liking.
  • Place the lamb on a plate and cover it with foil. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Sprinkle coriander on top of the lamb. Serve the lamb with rice, broccoli, and chilli.
