Ingredients:
  • 12 (about 1kg) chicken wings
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) honey
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) hoisin sauce
  • 20.00 ml finely grated fresh ginger
  • 300g (1 1/2 cups) jasmine rice
  • 1 bunch gai lan (Chinese broccoli), trimmed, cut into 5cm lengths
  • 1 bunch baby pak choy, ends trimmed, quartered
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking dish with non-stick baking paper. In a large bowl, mix chicken with honey, hoisin sauce, and ginger until well coated. Arrange the chicken in a single layer on the prepared tray. Bake for 35 minutes or until golden and fully cooked. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the rice and stir well. Let it boil again while stirring constantly. Lower the heat to medium and cook for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender. Drain the rice.
  • Blanch the gai lan and pak choy in a pot of boiling water for 3 minutes until vibrant green and crisp-tender. Then, drain them.
  • Plate the chicken, rice, gai lan, and pak choy, then generously drizzle the flavorful juices from the baking dish over the top.
