Whip up vibrant, delectable drop sugar cookies in under an hour with a no-fuss recipe. Just mix, shape, and coat in sugar-gelatin mix for a sparkling finish. Makes 48 colorful and easy-to-bake treats.
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • Additional sugar, if desired
  • Red and green fruit-flavored gelatins, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, oil, baking powder, vanilla, salt, and eggs in a large bowl. Gradually mix in the flour until well combined.
  • Place teaspoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Use the bottom of a glass to grease, then dip it in sugar and press the balls until they are 1/4-inch thick. Dip the glass in wet paper towel, then in dry gelatin and press onto the dough. Repeat until you achieve the desired color.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
