Savory beef stir-fried with oyster sauce, ginger, and spring onions.
Ingredients:
  • 57.50 gm vegetable oil
  • 500g beef rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 82.50 ml dry sherry
  • 48.80 gm oyster sauce
  • 42.00 gm light soy sauce
  • 18.00 gm white sugar
  • 1 onion, halved thinly sliced
  • 4 spring onions, cut into 5cm lengths
  • Steamed rice or noodles to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan or wok over high heat, brown beef in batches in half of the oil for 1-2 minutes. Remove browned beef and set aside. Then, in the same wok, stir-fry onion in the remaining oil on high heat for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  • Sauté spring onion, garlic, and ginger for 1-2 minutes until aromatic. Add back beef. Combine the rest of the ingredients, pour over beef, and stir-fry for 1 minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Pair your succulent stir-fried beef with fluffy steamed rice or tender noodles.
