Create a delectable berry cake using a mix for rave reviews.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and whole eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 box (4-serving size) Jell-O™ strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease and lightly flour the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat cake ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds and then on medium speed for 2 minutes. Transfer batter to the pan.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Then, run a knife around the sides of the pan to loosen the cake. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • In a chilled large bowl, use an electric mixer on low speed to blend cream cheese and milk until smooth. Increase speed and add whipping cream and powdered sugar, scraping the bowl occasionally, until soft peaks form. Spread the frosting over the cake and store it covered in the refrigerator.
