Elegant way to enjoy strawberries: shot glasses with Drambuie and toasted almonds.
Ingredients:
  • 1 orange
  • 2 x 250g punnets strawberries, washed, hulled
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Drambuie
  • 20.00 ml flaked almonds
Instructions:
  • Zest the orange using a zester, then juice the orange and set aside 60ml (1/4 cup) of the juice.
  • Combine the rind, reserved orange juice, strawberries, Drambuie, and sugar in a glass or ceramic bowl. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  • Toast almonds in a frying pan over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 2 minutes until golden and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Divide the strawberry mixture into serving glasses. Top with almonds and serve promptly.
