Indulge in a versatile strawberry syrup, perfect for cocktails or sodas, effortlessly using up extra fruit.
Ingredients:
  • 250g strawberries, washed, hulled, chopped
  • 220g (1 cup) caster sugar
  • 62.50 ml fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 250ml (1 cup) apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
  • In a glass or ceramic bowl, mix strawberries, sugar, and basil together. Cover and let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • After straining the strawberry mixture, gently swirl in the vinegar. Pour the mixture into a sterilized glass bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
  • Create a refreshing and elegant drink by combining 1-2 tbsp of the mixture with soda water, fresh strawberries, and fragrant basil leaves.
