Elevate your dessert game with a fragrant strawberry basil crumble using Betty Crocker™ cookie mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 6 cups halved fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Oatmeal Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • Cool Whip frozen whipped topping, thawed, if desired
  • Fresh basil leaves, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously coat a 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a large bowl. Add the strawberries and chopped basil, then transfer the mixture into a baking dish.
  • Combine the cookie mix and butter in a medium bowl, using a fork to mix until it becomes crumbly. Evenly sprinkle this mixture over the strawberry filling.
  • Bake for 50 minutes, or until the filling bubbles and the topping turns golden brown. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes, then serve warm with whipped topping and garnish with basil leaves.
