Whip up this luscious strawberry Jell-O cake with a white cake mix for a nostalgic treat loved by all.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package white cake mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) package strawberry-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 0.75 cup mashed fresh strawberries
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 (16 ounce) package powdered sugar
  • 0.75 stick unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then prepare three 8-inch cake pans by greasing and flouring them.
  • In a spacious mixing bowl, blend together the cake mix, gelatin mix, oil, eggs, strawberries, and flour. Divide the mixture evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely for about 30 minutes before serving.
  • Once the cakes have cooled down, combine confectioners’ sugar, butter, and vanilla in a bowl by hand. Refrigerate for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Whip the chilled frosting until light and fluffy. Use some frosting to sandwich the cake layers together. Spread the rest of the frosting evenly over the top and sides of the cake.
