Impressive strawberry poke cake with quick prep and basic ingredients. White cake filled with strawberry Jell-O™ for vibrant slices. Top with fluffy frosting and fresh strawberries for a party-ready dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg whites called for on cake mix box
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 box (4-serving size) Jell-O™ strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 12 fresh strawberries, cut in half
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Prepare and bake the cake according to the instructions on the box for a 13x9-inch pan, using water, oil, and egg whites. Allow the cake to cool in the pan on a cooling rack for 20 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, dissolve the gelatin by pouring boiling water over it and stirring until smooth. Poke the cake all over with the handle of a wooden spoon or the tines of a fork. Pour the strawberry gelatin evenly over the cake. Let it cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • Frost the cake and evenly spread it. Cut the cake into squares and garnish each piece with strawberries. Store the cake covered in the refrigerator.
