Strawberry Mousse Dessert Cups

Irresistible mini mousse-filled cups, perfect for entertaining and indulging in multiple delectable desserts at parties and buffets.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1 tablespoon whipping cream
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 24 miniature dessert or cordial chocolate cups
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, gently sprinkle gelatin over 1 tablespoon of whipped cream and let it sit to soften.
  • Place fresh strawberries and a touch of powdered sugar in a food processor. Blend until velvety smooth. Transfer the luscious mixture to a 1-quart saucepan, then stir in softened gelatin. Gently cook over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until the mixture simmers and the gelatin dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool for 30 minutes before using.
  • In a small bowl, use an electric mixer to whip cream until stiff peaks form. Then, on low speed, blend strawberry mixture into whipped cream until fully incorporated.
  • Transfer the mousse into a decorating bag with a small star tip. Pipe the mousse into the chocolate cups and chill until set, for about 30 minutes to 2 hours before serving. Optionally, decorate with fresh sliced strawberries.
