Indulgent strawberry pavlova with orange liqueur-infused whipped cream and fresh strawberries - a stunning summer treat!
Ingredients:
  • 4 egg whites, at room temperature
  • 0.25 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur
  • 4 cups strawberries
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • In a spacious bowl, use an electric mixer to beat egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff, glossy peaks form. Gently fold in cornstarch, vinegar, and vanilla until well combined.
  • Evenly coat the baking sheet with the egg white mixture, shaping it into a 10-inch (25cm) circular base with a raised border and a gentle dip in the middle.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour 15 minutes, until the meringue is cream-colored and firm to the touch. If it starts browning, lower the oven temperature to 225°F (105°C). Remove from oven and let cool.
  • Peel off parchment paper from the bottom of the meringue and transfer it to a serving plate before serving.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to whip cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in liqueur. Spread the whipped cream over the meringue, making sure to leave the edge visible. Finish by topping with fresh strawberries and cutting into wedges before serving. Enjoy!
