Elevate classic deviled eggs with decadent salmon lox topping.
Ingredients:
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup garlic-and-herb spreadable cheese
  • 4 oz sliced salmon lox
Instructions:
  • Place the eggs in a saucepan in a single layer. Add enough cold water to cover the eggs by at least 1 inch. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 20 minutes. Drain the eggs and cool them quickly by running cold water over them or placing them in ice water.
  • Peel eggs and cut them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove yolks and transfer them to a small bowl. Use a fork to mash the yolks, then mix in mayonnaise and cheese.
  • Set aside 2 slices of salmon for garnishing. Chop the rest of the salmon into coarse pieces and gently mix it into the yolk mixture. Spoon the yolk mixture into the egg whites, mounding it slightly. Present them on a serving dish.
  • Cut the salmon into 1/2-inch-wide strips and trim them to about 1 inch long. Roll up each strip into a rosebud shape and place one on top of each egg.
