Indulgent pork roast with sweet brown sugar, maraschino cherries, and a garlicky twist. Cooked effortlessly in an oven bag for a tender and juicy result. Perfect for a delightful feast!
Ingredients:
  • 5 pounds bone-in pork roast
  • 8 cloves garlic, peeled and cut in half
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, with juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) while you rinse and gently pat dry the pork roast.
  • Score the roast all over with a sharp knife and insert garlic cloves into the cuts. Combine water, brown sugar, and maraschino cherries with juice in a small bowl. Transfer the roast to an oven bag, pour in the cherry mixture, seal the bag, and place it in a roasting pan.
  • Roast in the oven until the internal temperature reaches a minimum of 145°F (63°C), about 3 hours. Transfer to a serving plate, drizzle with the juices, and rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
