Vanilla pudding pie topped with cinnamon butter, broiled to bubbly perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2.25 cups half-and-half cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Combine cornstarch, sugar, butter, and half and half in a saucepan. Stir and cook over medium heat until the mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat and blend in the vanilla.
  • Preheat the oven broiler on high.
  • Transfer the mixture into the pie crust. Top with a decadent 2 tablespoons of butter and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon. Broil until the butter is bubbling - keep an eye on it as it cooks quickly. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before indulging in its deliciousness.
