Decadent dessert to impress your guests.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet (25 x 25cm) ready-rolled frozen shortcrust pastry, just thawed
  • 200g (1 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 40g (1/4 cup) plain flour
  • 500ml (2 cups) thin cream
  • 27.00 gm maple syrup
  • 60g butter, finely chopped
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 180°C. Line a 20cm round pie tin with pastry, trimming any extra. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes before using.
  • In a bowl, mix together sugar and flour, then pour into the pastry base. In a jug, combine cream and maple syrup, then pour over the sugar mixture. Sprinkle with butter.
  • Bake until the pastry is golden and filling is just set, approximately 45 minutes. Let it cool for 1 hour at room temperature before chilling in the fridge for an additional hour. Cut into wedges and serve.
