Candied almonds: perfect for parties or gifting. Sweet with a hint of spice.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound blanched almonds
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.375 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a bowl, mix almonds with olive oil until coated evenly. Spread almonds out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Toast the almonds in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool slightly before using.
  • As the almonds bake, combine sugar, cinnamon, paprika, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Sprinkle the spice mix over the almonds and toss to coat. Spread the almonds in a single layer and bake until fragrant, for about 5 to 10 minutes. Let them cool before serving.
