Sweet and crunchy sugared walnuts are a versatile snack that enhances salads and crepes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 pound walnut halves
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a low 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) while you prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk egg white and water until frothy using an electric mixer. Add walnuts and gently stir until they are coated evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle the mixture over walnuts and toss until evenly coated. Transfer the coated walnuts onto the baking sheet.
  • Roast the walnuts in the preheated oven, giving them a stir every 15 minutes, until they are fragrant and crisp, for about 1 hour.
