Sunflower seed twist on a classic recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 1.125 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.125 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 2 cups flaked coconut
Instructions:
  • In a spacious mixing bowl, blend sugar with creamy butter or margarine. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  • Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda, then fold in the coconut and sunflower seeds until evenly mixed.
  • Spoon the dough onto a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes.
