Indulgent cream cheese flan with silky custard and caramelized sugar - perfect for prepping ahead!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, gently melt sugar in water, stirring occasionally, until it transforms into a golden caramel, about 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the caramel to a round glass baking dish.
  • In a blender, combine condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour the custard mixture over the caramelized sugar in the baking dish.
  • Set the baking dish in a deep pan and add water until it reaches halfway up the dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the custard sets and the top turns a beautiful light brown, approximately 1 hour.
  • Chill in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap, until cold, for 3 to 4 hours.
