Flavorful grilled salmon marinated in bold Shiraz wine overnight for exceptional taste.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup hot water
  • 0.5 cup Shiraz wine
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.33333334326744 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.33333334326744 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 2 pounds salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions:
  • Combine brown sugar with hot water in a bowl until fully dissolved. Transfer the mixture to a large resealable plastic bag, then add wine, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, and lemon pepper. Place the salmon in the bag, seal, and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight to marinate.
  • Heat up the grill on high.
  • Prepare the grill grate by lightly oiling it. Place the salmon on the grill and cook for 5 to 8 minutes on each side or until easily flaked with a fork, while keeping the marinade reserved.
  • Pour the marinade into a pot and bring it to a boil. Mix the cornstarch with cold water until dissolved, then stir it into the marinade to thicken. Serve over the salmon or on the side as a dipping sauce.
