Savory meatloaf made with fresh ingredients and a tangy ketchup glaze, featuring chunks of bread for a succulent texture.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 0.5 onion, chopped
  • 0.75 cup small chunks of bread
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 0.5 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon sage
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup ketchup, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine ground beef, onion, bread, eggs, milk, bell pepper, salt, sage, and black pepper in a large bowl until thoroughly mixed. Transfer mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Top with a layer of ketchup.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes or until the center is no longer pink, ensuring the internal temperature reaches a minimum of 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) when checked with an instant-read thermometer.
