Spicy Mongolian beef: marinated in soy, hoisin, sesame, garlic, and chili, stir-fried with green onions for a flavorful meal.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 2 large green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • In a spacious bowl, blend soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and red pepper flakes until smooth. Add beef to the marinade, cover the bowl, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour to overnight.
  • In a hot wok or large nonstick skillet, quickly sauté green onions in peanut oil for 5-10 seconds. Add marinated beef, discarding excess marinade, and stir-fry until beef is cooked through and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
