Flavorful sushi-inspired rice balls with crispy veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 200.00 gm sushi rice, rinsed, drained
  • 125.00 ml frozen peas, corn and capsicum
  • 60g sliced ham, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 32.50 gm sushi seasoning
  • Salt-reduced soy sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • Prepare the rice according to the package instructions, then transfer it to a spacious bowl.
  • Place the frozen vegetables in a heatproof bowl and cover them with boiling water. Allow them to sit for 2 minutes, then drain and rinse them under cold water.
  • Combine the vegetables, ham, onion, and seasoning with the rice until fully mixed. Transfer to a large baking tray lined with parchment paper. Allow it to cool before serving.
  • With moistened hands, shape leveled tablespoons of rice mixture into balls and place on a tray lined with parchment paper. Enjoy with soy sauce or freeze for later use (refer to notes).
