Indulge in a unique twist on classic apple pie with a decadent pecan crumble topping.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups peeled, cored and sliced apples
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup margarine, melted
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350°F (175°C) and give a gentle coat of margarine to a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Arrange a generous layer of sliced apples in the pan, leaving a little space at the top. Dust the apples with a sprinkle of aromatic cinnamon and evenly distribute 1 teaspoon of sugar for a touch of sweetness.
  • Combine 1 cup sugar with melted margarine in a medium bowl. Add pecans, flour, egg, and salt. Mix thoroughly, then spread mixture over the apples.
  • Bake until golden brown in a preheated oven for 65 minutes.
