Delicious Swedish meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork. Perfect for holiday parties. Serve with sour cream or lingonberry sauce for an authentic touch.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 0.33333334326744 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup half-and-half
  • 0.75 pound ground beef
  • 0.25 pound ground pork
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 0.33333334326744 teaspoon white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a frying pan over low heat. Add onion and cook in the butter until lightly browned, for about 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, water, and half-and-half, then allow to sit for approximately 2 minutes. Add cooked onion, ground beef, ground pork, salt, white pepper, and sugar to the bread crumb mixture and mix until well combined. Form the mixture into roughly 48 tiny meatballs.
  • In a skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter and add the meatballs. Cook slowly for approximately 25 minutes until the meatballs are fully cooked in the middle and no longer pink, shaking the pan occasionally to ensure even cooking.
