Sweet and lightly seasoned breakfast sausages - a delicious morning treat!
Ingredients:
  • aluminum foil
  • 1 serving cooking spray
  • 1 pound lean ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground paprika
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C, placing one rack in the middle and the other 6 inches from the broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  • Mix ground pork, maple syrup, garlic, parsley, marjoram, salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika in a bowl until well combined. Shape into 6 patties, flatten with your hand, and arrange on a baking sheet.
  • Place in the preheated oven on the middle rack for 8 minutes. Then, switch to the low broil setting.
  • Broil sausage patties on the top rack until they are beautifully golden brown and reach an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C), about 5 minutes.
