Transform tender beef stew meat into a versatile sweet and tangy dish perfect to enjoy on its own, in a sandwich, over rice, or mixed with steamed veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound cubed beef stew meat
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 0.75 cup vinegar
  • 9 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 9 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat a deep skillet over medium heat. Brown the beef in the skillet, stirring occasionally, for 7 to 10 minutes, until fully cooked. Transfer the beef to a slow cooker.
  • Combine water, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl and mix until smooth; then pour over the beef.
  • Simmer on Low heat for 6 to 8 hours until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened.
