Sweet and spicy Italian sausage meatball sauce, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds bulk hot Italian sausage
  • 0.5 cup red wine vinegar
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions:
  • Form the sausage into 100 small balls, each using a maximum of 1 1/2 teaspoons of meat.
  • Combine red wine vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, and ground ginger in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer, then lower the heat and continue simmering until the mixture starts to thicken, approximately 15 minutes.
  • 1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Fry sausage balls until golden brown all over and cooked through, about 3 to 5 minutes per batch. Transfer the cooked sausage balls to the saucepan and mix well with the sauce.
