Delicious pulled pork with a sweet and tangy flavor, great for sandwiches, burritos, omelets, or with baked beans.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1.25 cups steak sauce (such as Heinz 57®)
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.25 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 1 (3 pound) lean boneless pork tenderloin, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions in oil until soft, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, chili powder, and pepper; cook until fragrant, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in steak sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke. Bring to a gentle boil while stirring.
  • Place the pork tenderloin in the slow cooker and cover it with the sauce. Slow cook until the pork is fork-tender, about 5 to 6 hours on High or 10 to 12 hours on Low.
  • Shred the pork using 2 forks on a plate and return it to the sauce until serving.
