Sweet and buttery mashed acorn squash - a Thanksgiving must-have.
Ingredients:
  • 2 acorn squash, halved and seeded
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 pinch brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Arrange your acorn squash cut-side down on a baking sheet.
  • Place the squash in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. Flip the squash over, sprinkle the center with cinnamon, dot with butter, and bake for an additional 30 minutes until the flesh is tender when pierced with a fork.
  • Transfer the flesh to a bowl and thoroughly blend in the brown sugar until fully incorporated.
