Moist cornbread recipe perfect with chili, enhanced by sour cream.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.33333334326744 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) and lightly grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate small bowl, combine egg, sour cream, milk, and butter. Gently fold the egg mixture into the flour mixture until just combined. Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20-25 minutes. Serve warm.
