Create a warm, inviting atmosphere with freshly baked apple walnut bread, infused with cinnamon and sugar. Guaranteed to have your guests craving more.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup granular sucrolose sweetener (such as Splenda®)
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 pinches ground allspice
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.33333334326744 cup buttermilk
  • 2 apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 apple, peeled and shredded
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of softened butter, 1/2 cup of white sugar, and sucralose sweetener until smooth. Mix in eggs, applesauce, vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, baking soda, and salt. Add this mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk until just combined. Fold in chopped apples, shredded apples, and walnuts. Transfer batter to the loaf pan.
  • Combine 1/3 cup flour, rolled oats, 2 tablespoons white sugar, brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons cold butter and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
