Festive wreath-shaped cheese ball with a zesty taco twist for holiday entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 8 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 (1 ounce) packet taco seasoning
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro, stems removed
  • 4 stalks green onions, roughly chopped
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chile peppers
  • 1 medium Roma tomato, cored and diced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped white onion
  • 1 medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
Instructions:
  • Place plastic wrap inside a 16-ounce bowl, leaving some hanging over the edges.
  • In a food processor, blend cream cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and taco seasoning until thoroughly mixed. Add green onions, half of the cilantro leaves, and green chiles; pulse until evenly combined, leaving visible green specks.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into the lined bowl and gently press it until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or up to 8 hours, or overnight.
  • Gently flip the cheese onto a serving platter, discard the plastic wrap. Use a shot glass or spoon to create a hole in the center to form a wreath shape.
  • Finely chop the remaining cilantro leaves and sprinkle over the cheese. Mix tomato, onion, and jalapeno in a small bowl and arrange around the cilantro in a 1-inch ring on top of the wreath.
