Delicious turkey and Swiss sandwich with tangy mustard-mayo spread and red onion for extra flavor and texture. Perfect for lunch!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup coarse-grain brown mustard
  • 8 slices country style French Bread
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 pound thinly sliced roast turkey
  • 8 slices tomato
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
Instructions:
  • Combine red onion, thyme, mayonnaise, and mustard in a small bowl. Spread a layer of this flavorful mixture on one side of each slice of bread, then butter the other side of each slice.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add bread slices, butter-side down. Top each slice with 1/4 of the sliced turkey, 2 tomato slices, and 2 Swiss cheese slices. Add remaining bread, butter-side up. Cook until golden brown, around 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
