Elevate Christmas sausage rolls with gourmet turkey and tangy cranberry sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 3 slices white bread, crusts removed, roughly chopped
  • 1kg turkey mince
  • 3 green onions, finely sliced
  • 146.25 gm whole cranberry sauce
  • 75g camembert cheese, finely chopped
  • 4 sheets frozen ready-rolled puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease 2 baking trays. In a bowl, soak the bread with 1/4 cup of water, let it sit for 3 minutes, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
  • In a large bowl, mix together bread, mince, onions, cranberry sauce, camembert, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Divide the pastry sheet in half. Spread 3/4 cup of turkey mixture along one long edge of the pastry. Moisten the opposite edge with water, then roll it up tightly to seal. Cut the roll into 5 smaller pieces. Score three lines on the top of each piece using a sharp knife. Transfer the rolls onto the baking tray. Repeat the process with the rest of the turkey mixture and pastry.
  • Coat rolls with beaten egg and season generously with sea salt flakes and pepper. Bake for 40-45 minutes until beautifully golden and fully cooked. Serve warm.
