Trendy Nashville hot chicken tenders - flavorful, crunchy, and easy to make. Perfect for a busy day, packed with spicy goodness in every bite. Trendy and delicious, these tenders are a must-try!
Ingredients:
  • 1 package (14 oz) uncooked chicken tenders (not breaded)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon Frank's™ RedHot™ Original cayenne pepper sauce
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
  • Season chicken tenders generously with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper.
  • Combine flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a shallow bowl. In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together buttermilk and hot sauce. Coat chicken tenders first in seasoned flour, then buttermilk mixture, and finally in flour again.
  • In a 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F. Fry all tenders at the same time for about 5 minutes, flipping once, until they are deep golden brown and cooked through (at least 165°F). Place the tenders on a rack lined with paper towels to drain, with additional paper towels underneath the rack.
  • In a small saucepan, gently melt butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in paprika, red pepper, and garlic powder until well combined. Brush the fried chicken tenders with the flavorful spicy butter. Enjoy with sliced white bread and optional sweet pickles.
