Savory baked Tennessee onions with Cajun spice and a cheesy trio - a delightful pairing for any dish!
Ingredients:
  • 3 large sweet onions, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cajun seasoning, or more to taste
  • 4 tablespoons butter, cut in 6 slices
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Layer half of the onions on the bottom of a 9x13-inch casserole dish. Sprinkle with half of the Cajun seasoning and half of the garlic powder. Repeat with remaining onions, seasoning, and garlic powder.
  • Place the butter on top of the onions, followed by an even layer of Cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle oregano over the cheese and finish by topping it with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the oven until the onions are tender and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown around the edges, approximately 35 minutes.
