Quick, flavorful, and minimal cleanup, this ground beef meal is a weeknight winner.
Ingredients:
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 1 medium brown onion, chopped
  • 600g beef mince
  • 20.00 ml plain flour
  • 62.50 ml teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 16.00 gm brown sugar
  • 150g snow peas, trimmed, sliced
  • 3 green onions, thickly sliced
  • Toasted sesame seeds, to serve
  • Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat vegetable oil. Add brown onion and garlic, cook and stir for 3 minutes until onion softens. Add mince and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until browned and cooked through.
  • Sprinkle flour and cook while stirring for 1 minute. Pour in teriyaki sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Lower heat to medium-low. Simmer and stir occasionally for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Toss in snow peas and green onion. Cook for 2 minutes until snow peas are tender. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve over rice.
