Tender chicken drumettes glazed in irresistible homemade teriyaki sauce, perfect with fluffy white rice for a crowd-pleasing party dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, diced
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1.5 pounds chicken drumettes
Instructions:
  • In an 8-quart pot, mix sugar, soy sauce, and water until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium-high, then add ginger, garlic, cinnamon, and black pepper; stir well.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil and add chicken drumettes. When it boils again, lower the heat to medium-low, partially cover with a tilted lid to allow steam to escape, and simmer for at least 1 hour until the chicken is cooked through and the teriyaki sauce thickens.
