Tangy tamarind sauce and zesty ginger take this Thai chicken dish to the next level.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 14 ounces chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons tamarind paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 fresh green chile pepper, or more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon grated ginger
Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce and flour in a large bowl until well blended. Toss in chicken until fully coated.
  • Combine water, savory fish sauce, rich brown sugar, and tangy tamarind paste in a bowl.
  • Start by heating oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic, chile pepper, and ginger, then fry for 1 to 3 minutes. Next, add the chicken from the marinade and stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour in half of the tamarind sauce mixture and cook until the liquid evaporates. Add the rest of the sauce and continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens, about 10 to 15 minutes.
