Elevate your meal with homemade fresh egg noodles as a versatile alternative to traditional Thanksgiving fare.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 (32 fluid ounce) container chicken stock, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Mix in milk, beaten eggs, and butter. Knead until smooth for about 5 minutes. Cover and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  • On a dusted surface, flatten dough to a thin 1/8 or 1/4 inch. Cut into preferred shapes and lengths. Air dry for at least 1 hour before cooking.
  • In a large pot, bring chicken stock to a boil. Add noodles and cook until noodles are tender and broth has thickened, about 15 minutes.
