Delicious coconut Macadamia nut chocolate chip cookies - a family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups butter flavored shortening
  • 1.5 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Cream together the butter flavored shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; mix into the creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate chips, coconut, and macadamia nuts. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until chewy. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy! For a crispier texture, bake for about 12 minutes.
